How to use Google Tag Manager with Azaz
Google Tag Manager lets you manage tracking and analytics tags from one place. You can connect a Google Tag Manager container to supported Azaz links to help measure activity.
1. Create or open your Google Tag Manager account
Go to Google Tag Manager and sign in with your Google account.
Create a new container if you do not already have one.
2. Find your Container ID
Open your container in Google Tag Manager and locate its Container ID.
A Google Tag Manager Container ID normally looks like:
GTM-ABC123DE
Make sure you copy the complete ID, including GTM-.
3. Add the pixel to your Azaz link
- Sign in to your Azaz Dashboard.
- Open My Links.
- Create a new short link or edit an existing link.
- Find the pixel or tracking option.
- Select Google Tag Manager.
- Enter your Google Tag Manager Container ID.
- Save your changes.
4. Configure your tags
Return to Google Tag Manager and configure the tags, triggers, and analytics services you want to use.
Remember to publish your Google Tag Manager container after making changes.
Important
Use the correct Container ID. If the ID is incorrect, your tracking tags may not work properly.
Tracking results can also depend on browser privacy settings, ad blockers, consent choices, and the configuration of your Google Tag Manager container.
