If a QR code created with the Azaz QR Code Generator is not scanning correctly, check the steps below.
1. Test the QR code on another device
Try scanning the QR code with another phone or QR scanner. This can help determine whether the problem is with the QR code or the device being used.
2. Make sure the QR code is clear
A QR code should be displayed clearly and at a sufficient size. A blurry, distorted, cropped, or very small QR code may be difficult for cameras to scan.
If necessary, return to the Azaz QR Code Generator and generate a new copy.
3. Check the contrast
Make sure there is enough contrast between the QR code and its background. Designs that make the code difficult to distinguish may reduce scanning reliability.
4. Check the information inside the QR code
If the QR code scans but opens the wrong destination or displays incorrect information, check the content you entered when creating it.
For website QR codes, make sure the destination URL is complete and correct.
5. Check the destination website
A QR code may scan correctly even when the website it points to is unavailable. Try opening the destination URL directly in your browser.
If the destination website is offline or the page has been removed, you may need to create a new QR code with a working destination.
6. Avoid stretching or cropping the image
Do not stretch the QR code disproportionately or crop important parts of it. Keep the complete QR code visible when placing it on a website, image, document, poster, or printed material.
7. Download a fresh copy
Create or regenerate your QR code using Azaz QR Codes and download a fresh copy.
Available download formats can include PNG, SVG, and WEBP.
8. Test before printing
Always scan your QR code before ordering prints or distributing printed materials. Test it from approximately the distance at which people are expected to scan it.
