What should I do before deleting my Azaz account?

Last updated on September 20, 2026

Before deleting your Azaz account, review the content and links associated with your account and make sure you no longer need them.

Account deletion can affect access to your short links, QR Codes, Bio Pages, statistics, and other account-related information.

Review your account before deleting it

Sign in to your Azaz Dashboard and review the content you currently use.

Pay particular attention to:

  • Short links you still share publicly
  • QR codes currently in use
  • Bio Pages shared on social profiles or websites
  • Campaign links
  • Links printed on physical materials
  • Statistics you may still need to reference

Check your short links

Open My Links and review your existing short URLs.

Consider where each important link is currently being used before deleting your account.

A short URL may have been shared through:

  • Social media
  • Email
  • Messaging applications
  • Websites
  • Bio Pages
  • QR codes
  • Printed materials

Check your QR codes

Review your Azaz QR Codes before deleting your account.

Pay special attention to QR codes that have already been printed or distributed.

A printed QR code may remain in circulation on posters, menus, packaging, business cards, signs, or other materials even after you stop using your Azaz account.

Check what each QR code opens

If a QR code points to an Azaz short link or other account-managed resource, consider whether deleting the account could affect the destination people expect to reach.

Test important QR codes and make any necessary changes to your printed or digital materials before proceeding.

Review your Bio Pages

Open My Bio Pages and check whether any of your pages are still publicly shared.

Your Bio Page URL may currently appear on:

  • Social profiles
  • Websites
  • Email signatures
  • Business cards
  • QR codes
  • Marketing materials

If you no longer plan to use the page, consider updating those locations so visitors are not directed to an address you no longer intend to maintain.

Review your statistics

If you use Azaz Statistics, review any information you still need before deleting your account.

Do not assume that account-related statistics or other account information will remain available to you after deletion.

Review links used in active campaigns

If you are currently running a campaign, check whether it uses Azaz links before deleting your account.

This is particularly important for campaigns involving:

  • Advertisements
  • Email campaigns
  • Social-media posts
  • QR codes
  • Printed advertising
  • Events

Replace or update important campaign URLs before deleting the account when necessary.

Check links on websites you control

Search your own websites and pages for Azaz URLs that you still depend on.

If an important page points to an account-managed Azaz resource, consider replacing that link before deleting the account.

Check printed materials

Printed URLs and QR codes deserve special attention because they cannot be changed as easily as online content.

Check materials such as:

  • Business cards
  • Restaurant menus
  • Flyers
  • Posters
  • Product packaging
  • Signs
  • Brochures

If these materials rely on an Azaz resource associated with your account, decide how you will handle them before deleting the account.

Make sure you are deleting the correct account

If you use more than one email address or Google account, verify that you are signed in to the Azaz account you actually intend to delete.

Review the account information shown in your settings before confirming a deletion request.

Account deletion is different from signing out

If you only want to stop using Azaz temporarily, you do not need to delete your account simply to sign out.

Signing out ends your current authenticated session while leaving the account available for future sign-in.

Account deletion is intended for users who want to remove their account rather than simply leave the website.

Do not delete your account just because you forgot your password

If you cannot sign in because you forgot your password, use the Forgot Password page instead.

Follow the password-reset instructions sent to your registered email address.

What if I think someone accessed my account?

If you suspect unauthorized access, secure your account before making other changes.

Review My Links and your other account content for changes you do not recognize.

Change your password if appropriate. If you cannot access your account, use the Forgot Password page.

Understand that deletion may affect account data

Account deletion is different from deleting an individual short link, QR code, or Bio Page.

Before proceeding, review the deletion information and confirmation shown by Azaz so you understand what the action applies to.

Do not assume that deleted account content can be restored later.

Read the Terms and Privacy Policy

Before deleting your account, you can review the Azaz Terms of Service and Azaz Privacy Policy.

These pages provide information about using Azaz and how information is handled.

Never share your password to request deletion

Do not send your password or other private credentials through a support message.

Never send:

  • Your password
  • API keys
  • Authentication tokens
  • Password reset links
  • Private credentials
