If you manage links through Azaz, check the management options for your short link to see whether it can be temporarily disabled or otherwise restricted without being permanently deleted.
Open your short links
- Sign in to Azaz.
- Open your Azaz Dashboard.
- Go to My Links.
- Find the short link you want to manage.
- Open its available edit or management options.
Check the available link settings
Review the settings shown for the link. If an option to disable, pause, deactivate, or restrict the link is available, you can use that option instead of deleting the link.
The exact options available can depend on the type of link and the features currently enabled on Azaz.
Disabling is different from deleting
Disabling a link, when supported, is intended to stop or restrict access without immediately removing the link from your account.
Deleting a link is different and may permanently remove the link or its associated information.
Read any confirmation message carefully before deleting a short link.
Test the link after changing its status
After disabling or changing the availability of a link, open the short URL in another browser or private browsing window and confirm that it behaves as expected.
Remember where the link has been shared
Your short URL may already appear in places such as:
- Social media posts
- Websites
- Emails and messages
- QR codes
- Business cards
- Posters, signs, menus, or other printed materials
Disabling the short link can affect visitors using any of those existing copies.
What about QR codes?
If a QR code contains the disabled Azaz short URL, scanning the QR code will still attempt to open that URL. The result will depend on the current status of the short link.
You can access Azaz QR Codes or manage available QR tools from your QR dashboard.
Want to use the link again?
If Azaz provides a temporary disable or status option, return to My Links and review the link's management settings to make it available again.
Before deleting a link
If you only want to stop visitors temporarily, check for an available disable or restriction option before choosing deletion.
If you permanently delete a link, do not assume that the same alias, statistics, settings, or other associated information can be recovered.
