If an Azaz short link sends you to a website or page you were not expecting, use caution before interacting with the destination.
An unexpected redirect does not automatically mean that a link is harmful, but you should check the destination before entering information, downloading files, or continuing.
What is a redirect?
A redirect sends your browser from one URL to another.
Azaz short links use redirects to send visitors from a short URL to the destination selected by the person who created the link.
The destination website itself may also perform additional redirects after you arrive.
Why might I reach an unexpected website?
There are several possible reasons, including:
- The short link was configured with a different destination than you expected.
- The destination was changed after the link was originally shared.
- The destination website redirects visitors to another page.
- The destination website has moved to a new URL.
- The destination website may have been compromised.
- An advertising or third-party service may be performing another redirect.
- The link may be intentionally misleading or harmful.
Do not enter sensitive information
If the destination looks suspicious or unexpected, do not enter sensitive information.
This includes:
- Passwords
- Payment card information
- Authentication codes
- API keys
- Private access tokens
- Account recovery information
- Other sensitive personal information
Do not download unexpected files
If an unexpected destination immediately asks you to download software, browser extensions, documents, applications, or other files, avoid the download unless you trust and have independently verified the source.
Be especially cautious if the page claims that you must download something immediately to continue.
Check the address bar
Look at the actual domain displayed in your browser after the redirect.
Do not rely only on the page logo, title, colors, or design. A malicious page can imitate the appearance of a legitimate website.
If the page claims to belong to a company or service, verify the domain carefully before signing in or providing information.
Be careful with fake login pages
An unexpected redirect to a login page deserves extra attention.
If a page claims to be Azaz, the official Azaz domain is:

The official Azaz login page is:

If you are unsure, close the suspicious page and manually open the official Azaz Login page.
What if the short link belongs to me?
If one of your own Azaz links is redirecting somewhere unexpected, sign in and open My Links.
Find the affected short link and review its configured destination.
Check that:
- The destination URL is correct.
- You recognize the destination domain.
- The link has not been changed unexpectedly.
- The destination website is still under the expected control.
Test the destination directly
If you own or trust the destination, you can compare the destination saved in Azaz with the page that ultimately opens.
If the saved destination is correct but you are later sent somewhere else, the additional redirect may be occurring on the destination website or through another service it uses.
Check whether your website was compromised
If you own the destination website and it suddenly begins redirecting visitors somewhere unexpected, investigate the website before continuing to send traffic to it.
You may need to:
- Review administrator accounts
- Change administrator passwords
- Update your website software
- Update plugins, themes, or other components
- Check for malicious scripts or files
- Review redirect and server configuration
- Contact your hosting provider
Do not continue directing visitors to a destination you know has been compromised.
What if my Azaz account was changed without permission?
If your own short link has a destination you did not configure, secure your Azaz account.
Change your password using the available account settings.
If you cannot sign in, use the Forgot Password page.
You should also review My Links and your Bio Pages for other changes you do not recognize.
What if I already entered my password?
If you entered a password on a suspicious destination, go directly to the official website for the affected account and change the password as soon as possible.
If you reused that password on other services, change it on those accounts as well and use a different password for each service.
If the password was for Azaz, use the official Azaz Login page or Forgot Password page.
What if I downloaded a suspicious file?
Avoid opening or running a file you believe may be malicious.
Use the security tools available on your device to check the file and your system. If you believe your device has been compromised, disconnect from sensitive accounts until the device has been secured.
Report a suspicious Azaz link
If an Azaz link redirects to phishing, malware, scams, deceptive content, or another suspicious destination, submit the Azaz URL through the Azaz Report page.
Include the suspicious Azaz URL and a clear description of what happened.
If possible, explain where the link redirected you without intentionally interacting further with unsafe content.
Do not include private credentials in a report
When reporting a suspicious link, never submit:
- Passwords
- API keys
- Authentication tokens
- Password reset links
- Payment credentials
- Other private credentials
Can QR codes also redirect unexpectedly?
Yes. A QR code can contain a URL that redirects after it is scanned.
If an Azaz QR Code or another QR code opens an unexpected destination, use the same caution you would use with an unfamiliar clickable link.
If the QR code ultimately opens a suspicious Azaz URL, you can submit that URL through the Report page.
Can Bio Pages contain external links?
An Azaz Bio Page may contain links to external destinations.
Check the destination when opening unfamiliar links, particularly before entering credentials or downloading files.
Suspicious Azaz-hosted content can be reported through the Report page.

Azaz links and their destinations must comply with the Azaz Terms of Service.
Azaz links must not be used for phishing, malware, scams, deceptive redirects, or other prohibited activities.
